Thing 5

I like the idea of sharing photos online for the library. We take a lot of event pictures and it would be nice to post them so students could see them also. Splashr was neat! I would use it with my daughters when they get older and have a blog site of their own. We could share neat or funny pictures with each other.

Thing 4

Flickr was easy to figure out, although I am not sure if I tagged the photos right. I could use Flickr to show the changes in our new space here at Rasmussen. I know that one of our librarians has used Flickr to show the changes in a new space to show the growth of the collection.

I like the ease of Flickr and I could probably also use it for personal use. I have 2 years worth of photos on my digital camera that I have not had developed to put in the photo albums.

Thing 3

I had already been subscribing to the google reader, through work. I did not however know what it was used for. Now I that I know, I can see what my colleagues are blogging about, and keep track of other blogs that will help me with my job.

Thing 2

I am participation in 23 things on a stick because I want to make sure that I am able to use the new technology that is out there. If I can use the technology then I feel that I can be a good librarian. The web is changing and we need to change with it or else we will get left behind and possibly lose our patrons and their respect.
